July 2021 seems to be a month for painting and finishing.  This Loch Ness Monster has been presented at a few events as an example of a carving in process.  The finished piece shown below will be available to be viewed in person at the 2021 Old Home Day event in Dracut, Massachusetts this September. New and old ornaments

Image
Photos of ornaments hung on our tree in 2020.  Some of the carvings are 25 years old or more.   The wreath was carved from poplar rescued from a pallet and is among the oldest of the carvings.   The angel with trumpet is maple.  The others are mostly pine.  The bearded tree figure was new for 2020.
