Sacre-coeur after Louis Jobin

  Louis Jobin was the sculptor-in-residence at Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre in the early 1900s.  I love his work and I have immense gratitude to Marius Barbeau for his research and careful cataloging of this artist. The heart is carved from ecologically harvested jacaranda acquired from Rio Rivuma in Boston, MA 1997 Black walnut and jacaranda Linseed oil finish

Angel with Trumpet

This original design was made in a 3d modeling program.  Carved from a single piece of cherry harvested in Southern New Hampshire, it hung over the doorway into our living room until it was accidentally knocked off its hanger. 2000  Cherry Wax finish

Golf ball rosebud bottle stopper

Soapstone Sculptures

  In the late 90s I experimented with soapstone and alabaster sculpture.  Forgive the poor image quality, these images were obtained using one of the earliest commercially available digital cameras. Note that Nessie's eyes were made from flecks of garnet from a mountaintop in southern New Hampshire <1998 Soapstone and garnet Wax finish
